Take a look at the new Tamron 70-300VC lens. Sure to be one of the hottest lenses of 2010, the Tamron 70-300 VC image stabilized lens works on either digital APS-C cameras or full-frame digital cameras. The images are razor sharp and the image stabilization is effective to four stops. The Tamron 70-300 VC lens offers superior image quality for the price of a "kit" lens.

@realTHK Yeah and just come to denmark and you’ll get charged with 25% VAT on top of it all.
Europe: pay more for way less
@weinfin I shot a comparison at 300mm, the tamron won. The focus speed I did not test, but the Canon uses an older focus design that rotates the front element. Not cool. The older USM i doubt is as fast.
How does it compare to Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens?
At least show us how fast the focus is..
@realTHK well if i were you i would open up a shop to take care of said issues it seems then you may just have a decent market esp during tourist season
Yes, sb99kox, the hood comes with the lens.
that hood comes with the lens ?
Hey Paul – are you coming from the left side, only?
I guess so…
Try do duplicate voice on channel L even to the Right one… sounds better then
Sad to see such a contrast between US and European market: 6 years warranty in USA, while 1 year in most European countries (and also no service-centres, so you cannot even have AF calibrated to your camera)…
@42mrleo
Yes
Amazing lens!! I gonna buy one really soon!
Best lens Tamron has ever made!
@PortersCamera thanks for the info.
Raydness, I tried to reply several times to your question last week and YouTube wouldn’t let the message go through. The aperture is now listed in the video title – f/4-5.6
mamadoo1996, This is a great lens for any of the Rebel cameras. I’ve mounted it to all of the Canon line and it performs the same on any model.
Does this work with rebel t1i or rebel t2i (Canon) ?
@42mrleo A very good sports lens but you will need to use higher ISO settings indoors. The f/4-5.6 aperture is standard but not necessarily ‘fast’. For indoor sports here’s a trick: Put your camera in Av mode and set the aperture to f/4.0. Now set the ISO to 400. This will give you the fastest shutter speed that the lighting permits. Adjust the ISO up as needed to get the results you want and overshoot the game. The VC will up your good picture count vs. non-VC lenses, practice will do the rest!
is this lens good for shooting sports.
Hi, what’s the aperture for this lens ?
